The Journey Countdown is On!

November 5th is just days away! Soon to be at Boulder, CO from November 5-9, 2007 for a training that we are hosting and for a conference that I will be attending. We, CSU Northridge Center on Disabilities sponsors national and international assistive technology training programs to expand the knowledge base of professionals, and introduce newcomers to the assistive technology and disability field. We will be hosting a 2 Day Assistive Technology Applications Certificate Program (ATACP) training. Not only that I will be there for the ATACP Training, I will be doing my first observation of the live training for my 2 Year Masters Portfolio that I am currently working on AND attend the 10th Annual Accessing Higher Ground Conference: Accessible Media, Web and Technology Conference for Education, Businesses, for Web and Media Designers. As ALWAYS, I am soo looking forward to do my live training observations, attend the conference sessions, network (something I love to do!), and last but not least, if time is available, tour Boulder!

Journey as a Grad Student

For my Masters Portfolio in the Education Technology Masters Cohort, I am required to complete either a Research Project or Development Project. I have chosen to do a Research Project (a comparison study, action research or case study research project designed to assess some aspect of educational technology use) for my job's existing Training's Assistive Technology Applications Certificate Program (ATACP) online curriculum and live trainings as my Masters Portfolio. I am soo looking forward to this project! Anyway, this project will be a 2-year project and I have already begun doing my research and observations. I will be attending the November 2007 live training in Boulder, CO for my 1st observation. Boulder here I come! For further information, please visit my Masters of Art web page for your review.
